Christina has a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance and provides supports in the Fleurieu region every Tuesday and Thursday by assisting and supporting our OT’s to implement and facilitate therapy programs and activities. Providing care and support to our clients to promote health and well-being through occupation is something Christina she is passionate about and she loves helping anyway she can while building connections and advocating for others.
Christina also provides support to our Operational Admin Team, carrying out aspects of administration, and has a long history with TPAG, originally part of the team as a casual administration assistant. From this role, Christina realised the challenges faced by people requiring services, and the need for more capacity, and found herself in a conversation that helped her learn about allied health assistants and how their utilisation may assist the demands for support, and allow the OTs to focus on complex service delivery. This sparked something in Christina, and it wasn’t long before she enrolled to study, and Christina hasn’t looked back!
In her own time Christina love animals and her family have a huge collection of pets at home which keep them busy! At any one time they can have anything from chickens to snakes, cats, and dogs. Spending time with family is very important to Christina and prioritising time to video chat with her UK family is top of the list. Christina also loves being out in nature and walking, with the beach her favourite place.
Christina believes that ‘Whatever makes you uncomfortable is your biggest opportunity for growth’, and we couldn’t agree more!
