Sarah

Occupational Therapist

OT Sarah works predominantly with children within the NDIS, in and around the Southern Adelaide and Fleurieu regions, Monday to Friday, with every second Wednesday off. Sarah completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Occupational Therapy at Flinders University in 2022 and her placement experiences were often community based, which sparked Sarah’s interest to work with TPAG as she loves being able to help support people within their own familiar environments, particularly in regional areas.

Sarah especially enjoyed a placement at a private practice working with people across the lifespan in Alice Springs, which included opportunities to travel across various regions and remote communities in the NT, and her final placement involved working with children in a primary school. Sarah enjoyed building therapeutic relationships with students and working with them towards their goals for developing social skills, gross and fine motor skills, and emotional regulation.

Sarah loves being an OT because the nature of the profession considers all people as unique individuals and acknowledges that every client’s experience is different, and values being able to support people to achieve their personal goals and engage in meaningful activities they want or need to do.

When she is not being a fabulous OT, Sarah is a beach goer, stopping in for a walk or a dip and cherishes spending time with family and friends or reading a book to wind down.
